The Sugar Plum Shop at Children’s of Alabama is a heartwarming program designed to bring the wonder and magic of the holiday season to in-patients and their families who find themselves spending the holidays with us. Here at Children’s of Alabama, our wish is to ensure the spirit of this special time of year finds these patients during their stay. Parents and caregivers are given the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for their young patient and their siblings at the Sugar Plum Shop, a pop-up toy store we create inside the hospital. Through the continued generosity of our devoted donors and our valued community partners, the Sugar Plum Shop was able to bring joy to 599 children in 2022, including 284 patients and 315 siblings!
The Sugar Plum Shop exists through the help and support and generous donations from our sponsors, local businesses and the surrounding community. We could not create this wonderful holiday experience without you. Thank you for your interest in bringing the magic of the holidays to Children’s of Alabama!
